We are pleased to announce an alliance with the Colombian boutique oublishing house GatoMalo to co-publish three emblematic titles from their catalog under our Recrea Libros label in another effort to enhance and enrich children's book offerings in Chile.
For the past three years our publishing house has been travelling to book fairs in Bogotá and Medellín, seeking to strengthen both commercial and editorial communication between the two countries, carrying our writers and illustrators in our suitcases.
In one of these meetings, a conversation with GatoMalo opened the possibility of representing them in Chile for institutional purchases. Today we can officially announce that we will co-publish three of their books to integrate the Junji libraries throughout Chile.
These are the titles: Había Una Vez, Tal vez (Once Upon a Time, Perhaps), and Los Diferentes, (The Diferents) both by Argentine write and illustrator Paula Bossio, and Lejos de los Ojos, Cerca del Corazón (Far from the Eyes, Close to the Hearth), by Enrique Lara and Luis Fernando García.
GatoMalo is a publishing house created out of love for readers and good books, offering unique stories and picturesque illustrations, with the goal of encouraging thinking and promoting books by Colombian authors and illustrators around the world.
